How to Burn a MeaQuasar Candle

Follow These Steps to Safely use your MeaQuasar Candle.

Find a stable and heat-resistant surface. Your candle should burn a minimum of three hours the first time around. This ensures that your wax pool extends all around the vessel before extinguishing and will avoid tunneling.

Candles have memory, so the first lid sets the perimeter for future burns. This first lid is called “memory burn.”

Trim the wick to ¼ inch or 7mm each time before burning. This helps the
candle burn more evenly, controls soot, and ultimately prolongs the life
of the candle. Keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches, and debris at all times.

  • Never touch or move a burning candle. Always keep the candle within your sight.
  • Be sure to blow out all the candles when you leave the room.
  • Keep lit candles out of reach of children and pets. They can knock over a candle and start a fire.
  • Make sure the room has good ventilation. Don’t light too many candles in a small room or in a house where air renewal is limited.
  • Keep candles away from draughts and fans to prevent them from burning inappropriately, causing high flames, splashing, or smoke.
  • Never burn your candle for more than four hours at a time.

We recommend using a candle snuffer to extinguish the candle to avoid wax splashing and excessive smoke. Do not touch the candle until it has cooled completely.
